>> ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY & CHURCH WORK DAYS
Adopt-A Highway is a program that enables us to 'get our hands dirty' and be a positive witness to our surrounding community. On Saturdays, three times a year, we come together and demonstrate servanthood in a practical, tangible way by keeping our neighborhood clean and by taking care of the church building and grounds. It's been said that, 'when we take care of God's house, He takes care of ours!'

>> COMMUNION STEWARDS
From Matthew Chapter 26: And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is My body. And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. The Communion Stewards are a group of ladies who literally serve the elements of the Lord's Supper to the congregation. See Suzi Garner for more information.

>> DOORKEEPERS MINISTRY
The Doorkeepers Ministry includes Ushers and Greeters. Greeters offer a friendly handshake and a warm smile as we assemble together for worship services. They can answer questions and give directions to visitors. Ushers help people find seating and assist the Senior Pastor in other ways during a worship service, such as receiving tithes and offerings and distributing literature. For information on how you can serve in these vital ministries of LPWC, contact Ben Emery or Rick Carlan. ___________________________________________________________________
>> BENEVOLENCE
Joseph's Pantry is a food pantry ministry that serves people who need assistance in feeding themselves and/or their families. We are always accepting food donations! Watch the weekly PowerPulse Newsletter for a list of items that are in short supply. Linda Black serves as Ministry Director of Joseph's Pantry, assisted by Michael and Nancy Carroll. Linda's Clean Advantage plant in Taylors is used as a staging facility for Joseph's Pantry (and various missions projects).

>> CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Our Living Praise kids meet together every Sunday morning for a time of worship, learning, fun games and relevant Bible teaching! After worshiping together in the Sanctuary with their families, the kids are escorted to the children's ministry, where there's never a dull moment - singing, dancing, music, puppets, Bible stories, contests and practical lessons from everyday life...these are just some of the ways that our boys and girls are exposed to the life-changing realities of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on Sundays at Living Praise.
>> KIDS' CLUBS
In order to effectively accomplish our goal of ministering to the whole child, we offer Boys' & Girls' Clubs on Wednesday nights. Modeled after the popular Assemblies of God programs, Royal Rangers and Missionettes, these Kids' Clubs minister to not only the mental and spiritual part of the child, but the social and physical development as well. Arts and crafts, Bible study and memorization, snack times and outdoor recreation. All of these things combine to make Wednesday nights at Living Praise very special for our boys and girls!
>> BABY CARE
The Baby Care Room is where the 'littlest Living Praisers' are lovingly cared for by dedicated volunteers. Director Debra Campbell oversees a group of selfless caregivers; there are always diapers to be changed, stories to read, hugs to dispense, and plenty of boo-boos to pray for! The Baby Care ministry serves children from birth to 30 months.
New mothers should be aware of our Center for Nursing Mothers in the balcony of the Sanctuary. It allows them to meet the needs of their little ones in comfort and privacy, and yet remain within hearing distance of what's happening in the service!

>> MEDIA MINISTRY
Did a particular sermon speak to you in a special way? Did you enjoy the message from a certain guest minister? For a nominal fee, you can obtain sermon and teaching CDs and listen to them again at your convenience! See Rick Carlan to request a CD. Discs are available of individual services as well as sermon series.

>> PRAYER SUPPORT MINISTRY
To submit a prayer request, please fill out the form on the contact page of this website.
PRAYER is one of the four foundational cornerstones of Living Praise Worship Center (the others being The Word, Praise and Giving). The following prayer opportunities are offered at LPWC:
>> PRAYER SUPPORT MINISTRY The purpose of the Prayer Support Ministry is to provide prayer covering for LPWC, to pray for all ministries, ministry leaders and special events. Prayer Support also touches individual lives through prayer teams that minister to individual needs through the gifts of the Holy Spirit and through the prayer of agreement.
>> PRAYER CHAIN The LPWC Prayer Chain is in place to activate intercessors to pray for urgent needs.
>> SPECIAL EVENTS ...such as the National Day of Prayer, See You at the Pole and various prayer vigils and opportunites that are presented during the year.

>> PRO-LIFE MINISTRY
At Living Praise Worship Center, we celebrate life as an incredible gift from God! It's our prayer that all human life will someday be welcomed, cherished, respected and protected (Psalm 139:13-16). Before we can change laws, we're going to have to change hearts. And only God can do that! We actively support the pro-life ministry of Piedmont Women's Center with prayer, finances, and gifts. Every January, we hold a giant baby shower and collect items that can be used by an expectant mom facing an unplanned pregnancy. The items are then donated to Piedmont Women's Center. Each year, nearly 3,000 women and girls look to Piedmont Women's Center for help. PWC offers free ultrasounds and pregnancy tests, counseling, prayer, a 24-hour helpline, and the truth about abortion, sexually transmitted diseases, and other risks that accompany the destructive lifestyle of promiscuity. LPWC attendees are encouraged to take training to become volunteers at PWC, and to take advantage of abortion recovery counseling if needed. We proudly support this ministry that is reaching people, changing hearts, and saving lives...literally. _____________________________________________________________________________________
>> SCHOOL of The SPIRIT
School of The Spirit affords you and your family the opportunity to gain practical, in-depth Biblical knowledge, as well as develop a greater understanding of our vision and mission here at LPWC. Classes meet during the traditional 'Sunday School hour' from 9:15am 'til 10am on Sunday mornings. Multiple courses are offered for 13 consecutive weeks in the Spring and Fall. There is ministry to children and baby care upon request. See John Palacino for more information.

>> WORSHIP ARTS MINISTRIES
The Worship Arts Ministries of LPWC exist to lead God's people in worship by focusing our attention on the character and attributes of God, with an emphasis on servanthood and artistic excellence. Part of 'Our Mission' here at LPWC is to restore the arts back to the Church, and to use them as demonstrations of God's glory and presence. Living Praise has been prophetically declared to be 'a house of celebration!'
> MUSIC MINISTRY...
'Play skillfully with a loud noise!' 'Sing to the Lord a new song...in the assembly of the saints!' These are more than just literary passages...they are God-inspired directives that instruct us, even today, in how to praise and worship Him through the gift of music! At LPWC, opportunities are available to serve God's people through Voices of Praise and the Sanctuary Praise Band. Teams of singers and musicians rotate; rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights at 8:30pm. We're always open to fresh voices and new instruments! See Jeremy & Lauren McCall for audition information. Opportunities are also available to serve through seasonal productions and special music.
> VISUAL ARTS MINISTRY
Hilary Jernigan is, at this time, the sole member of this unique artistic expressions ministry of Living Praise Worship Center. It involves using 'traditional' tools of art - paint, brush and canvass - to worship God, to illustrate His love for us and our response to that Love. Hilary's paintings are inspired of the Lord in the same way that a song or sermon might be. During worship on a Sunday morning, she can often be found painting. Her paintings are on display in the church; she often paints to music as a form of 'performance art,' although, in this case, it's truly not a performance, but an act of worship and obedience. Hilary is an art instructor at Greenville High School. Her paintings have been featured in galleries and have been offered for sale in Greenville area Christian Bookstores.
> LPWC PLAYERS (DRAMA MINISTRY)
Drama has often been used to send messages of hate, violence, rebellion, substance abuse, and promiscuous behavior. Whether it's a Hollywood film or a Broadway play, the dramatic arts have not always been used to send the best message...but does that mean we should not use drama as a way to underscore God's Truth? No! The Church today is reclaiming dramatic expression as a powerfully effective means of glorifying God. Drama can make us think; it can challenge us; it can strike a powerful emotional chord; and it can bring us together for times of enlightenment, revelation, and Christian fellowship. At LPWC, we're committed to presenting top-notch drama and reaching people for Christ through the tool of Drama Ministry. The LPWC Players is a drama troupe that ministers on a regular basis, as well as in special productions. See Kelly Nomikos for more information.
